The 2018 Gibraltar Open reached its finale tonight, with Day and Yupeng facing off.
However, Day cruised to victory in a 4-0 win.
The Welshman will pocket £25,000 for winning the prestigious tournament.
Speaking after his victory, Day said: "I'm delighted, obviously. It's been a long couple of days, seven matches.
"I played three really good frames at the start of the match and tried to keep Cao under as much pressure as possible and fell over the line in the end.
"I'm delighted to win another tournament."
Yupeng added: “In the first three frames Ryan potted every long shot and he made me a little nervous.
"In the last frame I got a chance, but I didn't have a very good feeling. Ryan played so good today."
